Civil War soldier who served in Battery F, 1st Regt., Michigan Artillery. After the war he was a wagon maker and Baptist minister. Born April 10, 1842 two miles north of Burlington, Calhoun Co., Mich. He was the son of Gilbert and Alma (Howe) Randall who had immigrated from Monroe Co., N.Y. Freedom enlisted in Battery F, first light artillery at Nottawa Dec. 5, 1862 and took part in many important battles of the war including Kenesaw Pit., the siege of Atlanta and at Nas...
